About Bob

First and foremost, thank you for visiting my blog. No matter how you found my site, whether by social media site or Google search, I hope you find some of what I have to share interesting.

I have been blogging since 2005, writing about a wide range of topics. I have explored everything from community management to social media to digital content to personal development. Blogging has always been a great way to share my thoughts and ideas, but more importantly, I have always enjoyed the interaction with my readers.

When I look back at my first 33 years of life, there have been very few consistent re-occurring themes, with the exception of family. I have changed careers several times, have lived in various locations, and friends have come and gone. However, two things have never changed - my love for basketball and my love for business.  A weird combination, I know, but more and more everyday I realize how both have shaped my life. When exploring my newest blogging venture, I followed the longest standing rule in blogging... blog about what you love!  In the past, blogging was a vehicle to help others and help provide solutions to problems. There might be some of that here, but for the most part, I envision this blog as a place to share stories, experiences, and lessons learned from the backcourt to the boardroom.

I watch a lot of basketball, especially the Minnesota Timberwolves, and play when I can.  I work a lot, mostly because I love the game of business.  And in between all of that, I try and find time to play some of the beautiful golf courses in Minnesota and Wisconsin, or hit the tennis ball around on occasion.  I am a graduate of the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire with an honros degree in Management Information Systems.
